on Wednesday term two Erica came in and talked to us about how she is helping the environment she has her own plastic free website called Eco me she has a peg called forever peg it is a peg that can last a long time with out breaking.She has a reusable coffee cup so if you went to Starbucks you could take that and tell them to fill that up instead of the plastic ones.She also has plastic free bags they are probably my favorite thing she showed us.

kindness jar

At our school we have a kindness jar and if my hub fills the jar all the way we get a treat today Friday 23rd of august 2019 we filled it the whole way up this is what the jar looks like 
 this is it filled up.

The treat was we got to have 2x extra play time.

Marble challenge

One the 19th of august my class did a marble challenge it was based on the block NZ firehouse.You had to make a ramp for a marble to go down the materials we had was
6 pieces of newspaper
scissors
and a meter of tape.It had to hit a can you could have up to four people my group was Tama,Cory and I we made a very round ramp it was a tunnel going down.We had a small support for it we made it go about 1.5 meters it was so much fun we made it to top three we came 2nd out of our class it was so much fun

Cool winter sports highlights 2019

My hub has done winter sports for a term and a three weeks I have played in the A grade football our team has won about 4 games so we lost quite a lot of games.My highlight of this term of winter sport is being striker and having fun. I enjoy playing because I love soccer and I really liked playing with my team. My passing skills have increased over the time of winter sport.

Lego building challenges

on Monday August the 5th Rachel from house of bricks came to our school to do some Lego with us we went to do the bridge challenge first.Me harry and Danial were in a group we started of with a very good bridge but then I tried to put on my pencil case but the bridge could not hold it so it broke.We built another one but it was not that good so it only holded three books and the other one holded 7 books and one pencil case.The next challenge was the tower challenge my group was the same so we started of with a very tall tower.Then we joined groups with my friends Zach and Karter so we made our tower bigger and then we got to Noah's group and we put that to our tower and that made it big and then we measured it and it was 96 cm tall.Next was the car challenge you had to make a car out of Technic Lego and normal Lego a went straight to the Technic Lego because I new how to do those so I put to beams together and then I added the wheels and axles then I added these yellow things that was bent so I added them on and then I tested it it was so good.It ended up coming 4th so that was good It was a very fun day.

In tumu this term my group have been learning how to do standard written form this is an example.

This a way to solve it so you work from the back so 3+3=6 so we put it on the back left.     
And then you go over to the next number and then you add 2+4=6 so you but a six down. 
 Then you go over to the next number witch is the hundreds place and then you add 1+1=2 and then you put that down and then you have your answer I hope you learnt something from reading this blog.
